Proposal Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Proposal Coordinator is responsible for supporting identification of funding sources, proposal development processes and submissions, sub-award or contract issuance processing, and assistance with post-award administration (both financial and non-financial) related to funding in the form of gifts, grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and memorandum of understandings from external funding sources (e.g., federal agencies, state agencies, private companies, or foundations) that provide support for CyncHealth’ s mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate staff in the development and preparation of bid responses, proposals, contracts, sub-contracts, and other agreements, to include budgets, documentation, and interpretation of funding requirements.
  • Administer the opportunity pipeline for the organization, ensuring there is a clear understanding of status and deliverables for all active bid and proposal responses.
  • Develop, organize and catalogue narratives and core content for responses across the state and federal acquisition opportunities.
  • Under the guidance of the Executive Team, monitor incoming funding opportunities and initiate processes for opportunity evaluation and/or development.
  • Identify, collaborate and coordinate with internal subject matter experts for content development and alignment of color team reviews under the Shipley process. Coordinate internal teams as part of the color team process.
  • Operationalize the Shipley process for the organization’s business development efforts, contract opportunities, and internal projects through the process.
  • Serve as response leader to any acquisition opportunity.
  • Write, edit, and assist in developing bid or proposal responses, APDs, contracts, grants, and other operational or funding documents. Assist with technical writing based on dictated content as requested.
  • Assist in developing policies, processes, and systems that maximize funding opportunities.
  • Remain informed of Uniform Guidelines and other state and federal regulations related to awarded grants and contracts.
  • Assist Executive Leadership in assuring entity renewals for application eligibility are completed annually
  • Attend relevant meetings on project updates or leadership reviews.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, business administration, public administration, healthcare, journalism, communication, or a related field required.
  • Experience with bid/proposal development and successful preparation of grants and contracts required. Prior experience with healthcare or technology bids/proposals preferred.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of public administration, and grant and contract management, including contractual agreements, budgeting, contract management, and fiscal management.
  • Knowledge of grant writing fundamentals, trends and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with computer programs for process flow and diagrams.
  • Experience with logic models, workplan and budget development practices.
  • Experience managing multiple projects including project management functions and oversight.
  • Experience working with and coordinating multiple content contributors.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communications skills.

Expectations:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. As operational deliverable deadlines emerge there will likely be extended working hours.
  • Occasional local travel for stakeholder meetings required.
  • Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to work in the La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
