Integrations Engineer

Department: Data, Interoperability, and Analytics
Location: La Vista, NE

Position Summary:

The Integrations Engineer will develop, configure, implement, and support basic integration interfaces from defined specifications. The position will work with on-boarding new data sources and in migration of existing data feeds. This position will also support integration testing during the life cycle of the project, perform feed migration, and anticipate issues working to proactively remediate. Will work under moderate supervision and guidance while serving as initial escalation point on connectivity issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, develop, test and support integrations with multiple vendors and clients
  • Manage expectations with participants on delivery.
  • Coordinate changes with multiple teams of project managers.
  • Conduct and document results on validations for HL7, C-CDA, and other basic interoperability standards
  • Work with the vendor, internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrations comply with CyncHealth data standards and specifications aligned with enterprise standards for data quality.
  • Monitoring the interoperability environment for interface related issues and assist in diagnosing integration issues.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure product/interfaces work as expected.
  • Work with CyncHealth participants to understand the customer’s product-specific requirements and configuration.
  • Design and execute unit, system and integration test plans for new developments/releases/reports.
  • Protect assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.
  • Model CyncHealth’s values and Code of Conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Basic understanding of HL7 interoperability with ADT, ORU, MRM, and VXU message types.
  • 2 years’ experience in related technical field.q
  • 1 year Healthcare IT experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Intersystem and/or Ensemble, or a similar engine is preferred
  • Prior experience with EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, or certified EHR/EMR preferred.
  • Ability to read vendor specifications and perform gap analysis.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at one given time.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, Flat-File and MLLP connectivity.

Expectations:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to work from La Vista, NE office or remotely with reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to serve on a rotating on call schedule.
